Focusing On Him Brings the Boon ( by Fenny West)

Focusing On Him Brings the Boon

focus1 focus2

62   Now Isaac came from the way of Beer Lahai Roi, for he dwelt in the South.63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field in the evening; and he lifted his eyes and looked, and there, the camels were coming.64 Then Rebekah lifted her eyes, and when she saw Isaac she dismounted from her camel;65 for she had said to the servant, “Who is this man walking in the field to meet us?”

    The servant said, “It is my master.” So she took a veil and covered herself.

66   And the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done.67 Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.Gen24:62-65

Isaac was meditating and God brought his joy, his harvest, his expectation, his boon, his wife, his future partner, his other half.

Biblical meditation is on God and His word, on the prophetic word that H has given to you in times past despite your current experience, the storms you face, the doubts that assault your soul.

You and I must continue to focus on God regardless of the vicissitudes of life that visit us, and as we do goo will come to us; breakthrough will break into our lives.

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matt6:33

21     ” Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace;

      Thereby good will come to you. Job22:21

1     Blessed is the man

    Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

      Nor stands in the path of sinners,

      Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2     But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

      And in His law he meditates day and night.

3     He shall be like a tree

      Planted by the rivers of water,

      That brings forth its fruit in its season,

      Whose leaf also shall not wither;

    And whatever he does shall prosper.Ps1:1-3

It will be recalled that when Abraham commissioned his servant to go and look for a wife for his son, Isaac, he prophesied that God will go ahead of him to make a way.

The LORD God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, ‘To your descendants I give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.Gen24:7

Furthermore, the servant committed the journey into God’s hands in prayer and made specific requests and God answered him specifically.

12 Then he said, “O LORD God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.13 Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.14 Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink’ — let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.” Gen24:12-14

And in the end we see Isaac meditating on the Lord, His word, His goodness, mercy and faithfulness and he lifts up his eyes and here comes his joy, his boon, his bounty.

When Job prayed for his friends as the Lord had commanded, God restored his losses and gave him twice as much as he had before. Job42:10

As you meditate on the Lord, His word, that prophetic word that He gave you, His goodness, His faithfulness, your boon and your bounty will come.

And just like Rebekah came just in time to comfort Isaac, so will your boon be.
