Blunderers Can Bounce Back ( by Fenny West)

Blunderers Can Bounce Back

Peter thought he was the Champion disciple

Self-confidence nearly finished him

 Peter failed Jesus

 Jesus restored Peter

Peter Bounced back

You too can bounce back

15   So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”

    He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

    He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

16   He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”

    He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

    He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

17   He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

    And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”

    Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.18 Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.”19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”

John21:15-19

Blunderers can bounce back,
Regardless of great fall;
Despite hitting the rocks,
And it seems so hopeless.

The answer is the cross
The way out is Jesus
Who forgives and restores.
He did it for Peter
He can do it for you.

 You too Can Bounce Back.

He thought he was a champion
But thrice he denied the Lord.
He could not believe he did.
He nearly wept his heart out.
He thought it was all over.

But Jesus came and restored;
Gave him new lease of life.
He accepted forgiveness
And put the past behind.

The Day of Pentecost
Revealed a New Peter-

Turned into ‘another man.’

 He preached a fiery message.

 Was bold and brave for his Lord;
Flowing with the anointing.
Thousands came to the Lord
He was unstoppable
And became a leader.
His shadow was enough to heal.
Had no silver or gold
But what he had he gave.

The name of Jesus was enough

It was more than enough.

That Name remains the same

It can heal the sick,

give hope to the hopeless,

give sight to the blind,

strengthen the weak

and even raise the dead.

There is nothing too hard for Him.

Peter bounced back, you too can.
