Angels on Assignment ( by Don and Dawn)

Here’s another faith building story for you.

A missionary team went on an outreach trip to evangelize a small village deep in the jungle. Fearing for their lives, they huddled up in prayer. Come morning, nothing was missing and no one was harmed.

They continued their trip to the village, set-up a small infirmary, and evangelized Christ to its villagers.

Weeks later, an injured robber was rushed in the village infirmary. He asked a peculiar question.

“Did you hire soldiers the first time you were here?”

The missionary replied, “No. Why do you ask?”

“Because we were supposed to rob and kill you. But there were 30 soldiers guarding all of you that night.”

God protected the missionaries while they slept. Talk about the power of prayer.

I remember a Bible verse that describes such an event:

Isaiah 54:17 (New Living Translation) – “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you.

These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

Without a doubt, those are strong words coming from our Lord. He protects those who carry out His plans.

These missionaries knew that they represent God Himself. And God protected them all the way.

That’s why I encourage you to memorize Isaiah 54:17. May this verse pop up when you face trials of many kinds.

When dangers come your way, when fear stop you on your tracks, remember and meditate on this verse.

Surely, a single memory verse can transform you from being a lukewarm Christian to a Spirit-Filled Christian.
