From Barrenness to Fruitfulness
King James Version (KJV)
24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
Often we may find ourselves in the predicament of Elizabeth. We desire to be fruitful but barrenness has a grip on us. Everyone around us is receiving their miracles, being fruitful but it appears we have been forgotten.
Is that your experience? Have you said like Jacob:
” My way is hidden from the LORD, And my just claim is passed over by my God”?
“The LORD has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me.”?
You have prayed and fasted and waited for long and the situation remains the same. and you wonder, ‘Why, Lord? When Lord?
2 Many are they who say of me, ” There is no help for him in God.” Selah
3 But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
1 How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4 Lest my enemy say, ” I have prevailed against him”; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
